The meaning of KAIROS
The word ‘kairos’ is Greek for ‘the right moment’. It’s a concept that we can’t always control, but it’s one of the most important things we can do to help ourselves and others.
Kairos is a time when we’re able to respond to an opportunity or challenge in the right way. When you’re at kairos, you have a choice: you can either let the situation pass you by, or you can seize the moment.
Kairos is usually defined as any point in time when something significant happens (like an opportunity). But it’s also something that happens inside us—when we’re aware of our own sense of timing, and when we know what actions will serve us best at any given moment.
So how do you know when kairos has arrived? There are no hard-and-fast rules; it’s more like a general idea of how things work. But if you’re following your intuition and feel like something big is going down soon, then that might be kairos.
The best way to recognize kairos is by listening closely to yourself and others around you. When something feels right, that’s probably because it is.
